Hi Tina
My wife has never been in an IVA and these loans were paid off long before I entered in to my IVA.
I spoke to GT in December last year who confirmed that my wife would be entitled to half the refund at that time but upon reading the proposed variations to the terms of my IVA they read like GT and my creditors would take all the money if I signed them now.

I'm in the same situation (glad I'm not alone!) I completed my IVA last Feb, was told it would take a max of 6 month for the closure, in Sept/Oct/Nov I asked for updates to be told there was an internal billing issue that they were trying to sort out and it would all be done dec/jan (slight pee'd off as it was an internal problem holding my closure up and nothing to do with me). I then get a letter in Jan saying there may be un realised assets and to call ASAP I then get told about misssold PPI and I have to go through a whole new process with a 3rd party PPI company. I don't understand why PPI wasn't investigate during my 5 years of payments, or until 11 months after I made my final payment, I just want to get my closure and move on with my life, it was such a releif to make the final payment but the dragging out of the closure is just annoying. At the end of the day any PPI will just be paid out by the creditors back to the creditors so I don't see the point!

You are able to discuss PPI issues when you ring the phone no. and if you ring customer services they will discuss general issues about your IVA, but you cannot speak to anyone in GT directly about your certificate of completion, you can only email, you will then receive a response advising that will endeavour to respond to your enquiry within 10 days
