Try emailing the IP directly via this link:

You may get some answers from him/her.

If your insolvency practitioner is now either Mark Allen or Gareth Neill they are both based in the Belfast office of GT where I gather most of the firm's IVA processing is now done.

thanks alot for that, i think i am with gareth neil now. belfast! handy they are so far away ....... well i will be getting to meet this IPS and GT if i dont get a cc soon. hust reading on here today that anothr load of GT customers are being kept waiting for nearly a year or longer! what is going on. i will be writing to my IP and the regulator if i have to wait any time then they stated me, which was they policy of six months. i cannot see how a straight forward case, as i have been told mine is, could take any longer.

Are they claiming mis-sold PPI on your behalf? This may be causing the delay x

Even if they were, then they should have communicated this to Matt. A year with no updates or CC is real bad practise, which seems to be more the norm when you read the amount of GT customers who have 'popped up' on the forum over the last month!
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Hi Matt,

I would be interested to know how you get on. Mine also was explained to be a simple case and 10 months after making my final payment I'm still waiting for my CC.

I got in contact with Karol, GT Contact on this site, and to be fair she was very helpful and told me that the distribution of monies would be made to creditors in April and my CC issued shortly after, early May.

However, I noted on the forum that other people with GT (and in the April creditor distribution) had received their CC's in the last week of April. I've been chasing Karol since then, to find out what is going on but sadly without a response (to the three emails and one message I have sent/left). I'm hoping she is on leave but otherwise I'm a bit stuck on how to take it forward; it is all very frustrating, as all by debts fall off my credit file next month but of course the IVA is still sat there on the insolvency register.

It's been going on for much longer than a month.

People have been posting for quite some time now about their concerns with regard to GT's closure process and the lack of information or updates from GT over what can be a very considerable period of time.

In the words of another IP recently:

"The closure of an IVA is perhaps the most important process for a client - they have lived through difficult times in the five or six years of repayments, and when the light appears at the end of the tunnel you simply just want to get out of it and experience the fresh air again."

It's easy to appreciate how GT's performance / process could cause people real distress.

Hi Nearly Happy.

Seems you are having the the same (Non) response as me. I emailed last Fri was emailed back to say they would let me have an update early this week. Nothing!! Emailed again early yesterday morning but still no reply. I'm baffled at how long it can take the GT closures department to tell the GT customer services when a CC can be expected. I agree it is very frustrating. Now there's the upcoming bank holiday so they will be closed. Does anyone know if GT have a certain time during the month that creditors monies are distributed & CC are issued.

IVA Completed Nov 2011.

HI Broke of London. no and i certainly wouldnt claim them anyway they where put on my cards/loans on my authoristaion and where not miss sold and as such will not be doing a claim! if i get any phone calls, like so many on here from the debt recovery company asking me to i will piont them in the right direction! how angry are some people on here towards GT and nothing seems to be getting done now! how the hell can people be waiting for a closure of an IVA that was finished like a year ago! i feel the only way round it is to write to the regulator and speak to my IP. i feel that if everyone got together on here who has been dealing with GT and got no where would write to them informing them of the situation and the regulator then something might get done! its obsured that this has been going on so long and no letter or explanation given from GT at any stage.

Hi, Nearly Happy i totally no where you are coming from with this. i to got a nice call from Karol, who did clear things up and im guessing is just doing what she nos to do when you speak to her but its really the IPS who are dealing with our cases that should be contacting us on why the hell some people are waiting nearly a year. i was told six months is the normal process but this is blown out of the picture when you see so many waiting! mine was, as told by Karol a straight forward case as every thing is up to date just needs closing now. and if i get any phone calls from that ppi company they will be trouble.
i hope you get somewhere with your case soon tho as it has been way to long. all i ant to do is get the charge taken off my house and be debt free! i have paid my IVA for the last 6years.

Hi All,

Not sure if it's karma or luck but I have just had a message from Karol confirming that I will definitely be getting my CC at the end of May. A month later than promised, 11 months on (by then) but hopefully, finally finished; am I stupid to be hopeful again?!?

I do feel for Karol because she can't do right, she is trying to help but I think just the numbers of people complaining shouldn't all be sat on the shoulders of a single assistant manager. I'm sure she is competent but you need a big team to provide quality service. I think complaining is the right way to go, not about Karol but about the crappy support she gets. GT are a fairly big accountancy firm (top ten) and surely they must be worried about reputation.

Sorry, back to the point, Matt keep emailing/calling Karol and it'll get done, might take a while but it'll be quicker than letting things happen naturally.....

thanks nearlyhappy thats some good news that you have been told that. nearly 11months tho! was yours a straight forward case as ive been told mine was?. i must add as well that Karol was most helpful on the phone and did asnswer most of my questions but like you say about the company as a whole should be really getting to grips with this slow and bad mamnagement of everyones IVAs and i do hope that the customer service team are letting every department in the IVA building the issues people are getting and how to resolve it. i dont think a company like GT would want a load of regulator and internal complaints being filled due to IVA issues not being closed and resolved in a proper maner.

hope you do get it so keep us posted :)
