I'm shocked that Grant Thornton can take this long to issue completion statements. I made my final payment last September and have been chasing GT up ever since. I spoke to them today to try and get an update and all they could tell me was that Karol had marked my account as "formal complaint" on 16 January. I wasn't actually aware that I had made a formal complaint (yet) but I hope Karol can sort something out soon. As my IVA ran for 6 years, my credit files are already clean with the exception of the outstanding public record, which can't be removed until GT inform the insolvency service that the IVA is complete. As I've pointed out to GT on many occasions, I am currently having to pay a high interest rate on my mortgage which is costing me several hundred pounds a month more than it needs to - so this delay is not only frustrating but financially detrimental.
Karol, I'd love to hear from you - please get in touch.

vince666, if I could be as so bold to ask; could you please summarize the outcome you have received from GT if you don't mind. As with a lot of complaints about GT there has been contact with Karol/GT via email and phone, but then no post to portray the outcome, be it good or negative.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
Merlin - we have had some positive posts after Karol has intervened. She does a good job.

After I emailed GT, Karol responded about a week later to let me know that my closure had been escalated and that she would be in a position to update me futher next week.
Nearly two weeks later i havent heard anything so I have emailed GT again.
I think that they must be extremely busy has i used to recieve a response the same day a few months ago.
Hopefully not long to go because my case will have been with the closure department for 6 months in about 2 weeks time.
I will post on any progress when i recieve any more information.
Thankyou.

You are in a similar position to me - it is so frustrating and GT seem to be very slow at responding at the moment.
Equifax today removed the final default account from my file, so all I need is to be removed from the Insolvency Register and I will be able to switch my mortgage to a more reasonable rate
My request was not a slight on Karol, far from it, I have seen that she has answered and responded to posts and emails, however I don't think/believe she has the final say, she passes on these 'problems' to someone who should be sorting them out at GT, but for whatever the reason a member has had to resort to using the forum and Karol's email system to get contact or a resolution of some sort. This obviously brings it to everyone's attention and with so many complaints and gripes about the service from GT then people (me) get nosey and want to know what was the outcome.

I agree and first of all i would like to say that Karol does an excellent job dealing with clients but this is where i beleive the problem exists.
So many GT customers should not have to resort to contacting their IVA company through this forum to answer any queries, where any problems can be dealt with via a simple telephone call but i am sure that any other GT customers will agree when you do get through, the conversation always ends with you being told that you will be called back which in my experience has never happenend.
My main concern to this subject is if this great forum did not exist, how would i feel towards GT as a company when any dealings i have had with them outside of this forum resulted in such poor service.
I'm also with GT since transferring from BE and our full and final was completed in December. I was told over the phone it was all finished and I just had to wait for the certificate which would take 3-6 months.
Why therefore are we possibly still liable for further payments if we were to come into a windfall or overtime. Husband had hoped to try and get some overtime and try and get some savings behind us now - but to hear this is very worrying.
Some clarification from GT as to what happens in the closure process, how long it takes and why they take longer than other firms would be welcomed.
