Hello peeps and peepettes. How are you all ... hope you had a wonderful Christmas ... with a bit of luck I'm having mine on New Years Day. As a couple of you know I was in Hospital over Christmas and I would not wish it on anyone. The Hospital is 20 miles from my home and being Christmas day there was no transport for my wife to visit (Mrs Wizzz doesn't drive). The heating is to high and the food is too cold. All I wanted to do was get out and get home. When I was released I had to find my own transport which meant a very expensive taxi ride as it was over the Christmas period. Still I'm home now but it did frighten me to realize it's possible to have a heart attack and not know you were having one. I now have to have more tests to ascertain the damage done as this is my 4th attack in as many years, and you only get so many bites at the cherry they tell me.

Thanks for the messages, they were really appreciated. In theory I had access to the internet in Hospital but I felt that rough I couldn't be bothered, but I am back now with me feet up and me keyboard close at hand LOL.

You have been very missed on the forum Ray, and it is great that you are home again feeling better. How hideous that there was no tranport home for you after such an ordeal - I suppose that is the NHS for you.

Because my op took place in a different PCT, I could have arranged an ambulance home - it would have cost me £200 for an 8 mile journey!
