I went online to the Halifax where I have credit card accounts and they have closed an account, does this mean that they can't add any more charges to it or does it just mean that i can't use it. Like i would want to after all this stress. One account they have reduced my credit limit but the other says closed.

If the account has been closed you should have had 30 days notice ?? or a default and closure notice.

i was asking because it states closed but i owe over £9500 on it. I don't understand why one account has had credit limit brought down to meet the debt but the larger account has just been closed with no communication whatsoever.

I have checked all my paperwork and I definitely have not had anything regarding this account. I can't understand why it has been closed when there is money still owing on it.

Hi.
Can i ask what stage of the process your at?
If its at propsal stage and bank have received your propsal, they will close accounts. Different departments work with credit cards, loans overdrafts etc; so this might explain why only 1 account has been closed.

Then I suggest this is the case I was with Halifax and the same happened to me, but they voted yes. Which was good because they out voted the NO vote from MBNA.

That sounds so promising as they hold almost 50% of the vote so things are looking ok I'll have to wait and see but the account they have closed has got almost £10,000 owing on it.

I still haven't had any contact from them regarding this account, I'm really confused.
I wish it was all over, only a week to go.

Thanks.
Meeting on Thursday, don't know how I feel at the moment, I'm nervous but I can't wait for it to be over with then I know which way I am going. The creditors that I have spoken to have been ok about the situation. MBNA said they are sorry it has come to IVA and would I please let them know the outcome of the meeting.
Capital one apologised for ringing and said that they have to until after the creditors meeting.
Mint have withdrawn my loan agreement and want £9500 by 24th April.
Where do they think thats coming from I wonder.[:0]
