Just a quick rant!

Halifax are fast becoming a pain.........[:(!]

Yesterday we started getting call from an automated service saying it is an important call for Marie from Halifax press this number then that number then date of birth, at this point I put the phone down. I am not putting personal details into the phone! We have twice been victims of fraud and we now try and make sure that we are careful with our details.
Halifax then continued to re-dial (probably automated but still annoying) about 12 times.
Today I get home from work and there is 5 messages all the same automatic message. I have since had 3 more so by my calculations 4 more to go.[:(!]

If Halifax read this site then please get a human to ring and I will speak to you - not a problem.

Sorry everyone had to get it off my chest. I have no objection to speaking to them, but I am not typing my details into the phone - lets face it, it could be anyone.

Moan over - for now[;)]

Marie, moan away. I don't blame you, they did exactly the same with me. I called the number on my credit card statement instead and told them to take my home phone number off and just call me on my mobile. Try that. One thing after another eh, hope you calm down. Keep sane. Viki X

Halifax phoned on Saturday and the guy said he wouldn't ask for a token payment if I was looking at doing an IVA! Not sure whether their attitude will change further down the line. Maybe he was just one of the nice ones. X

Halifax are my biggest creditor and to be fair than have been ok upto now. I have made a couple of token payments to them but of only £4 and my debt is £18K, they did ring me everyday but once I said I was in applying for an IVA they were really helpful and said unforutnately I would still receive calls up until my IVA went through. Bear with it - it gets beta - a plus for them at least there call centre is in the UK!!!! o)

hi - i had a loan with the halifax and they did ring but to be honest most of the time were ok except for one time when a right arrogant bloke rang and reduced me to tears. the next time they called my hubby answered and gave the operator a mouthful and told him that we were recording the calls, they were never rude again!

barb x
12 down - 60 to go! woo hoo!
