The only red hat I've got is my sequinned Santa hat, but it's probably a bit early for that!

At the last meeting I went to we had name tags with our real name and our forum names on them so we could put names to faces. We did use real names, but I still got referred to as Skippy - I'll answer to either!

I think at these meetings we probably aren't bothered about fellow FF's knowing our real names.

It's only on here as you don't know who is looking!!!!!!!

When I went to the Bradford one, Angela from Melanie's office had printed our avatars and usernames out on little badges.....it was lovely. So I walked round all night with Nia on my top! Hubby wasn't too impressed with Mr.Viki.W though!!!![:D] HaHa! It was so much easier to recognise people from their pictures and usernames. No one has to use their real names if they don't want to. I can't get to Slough as it's too far but hopefully meet you at the Birmingham one TOL. X

I don't think that is anything to do with it. Viki has been to one and she doesn't have it above hers.

That was because we all went pet crazy a while back and wanted our pets as our avatars, so Admin put the frugal friends sign(which I love) over the pictures, so people coming to the site wanting help with their debts wouldn't think we were a pet forum![:D] X

Hi tiredoflife
The forum is constantly evolving and its sometimes difficult to keep up !
As Viki says, the frugal friends theme developed quite spontaneously when several members asked to have their pets as their avatars.. and at about the same time we gave the same name to our social evenings ... [:D]

If any of our regular posters would like the frugal friends logo on their avatar we'll be more than happy to add it [:)]
cheers admin

Actually, my hubbie would say it is a good likeness of me!

He always said when we were on holiday (what is one of those?) and on the beach, that he had spied the Japanese whaling fleet!

I think he was trying to tell me something![:D]
