In my professional opinion, this chap does not sound terribly professional - but rest assured that his ultimate boss (the IP!) will be! Perhaps he is new to the job and simply finding his feet - we all had to start somewhere after all, and mistakes can be made occasionally when staff are in training.

That is awful stressed1 and I as others would say think carefully before you commit, I'm with Melanie and her team and they are alway available and always approachable. In my mind Melanie goes over and above the call of duty for her clients. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Stressed1
OMG it sound like you were talking to one of the Companies you owe money to and not an IP, whatever level they are they should not be judging you as it is not their place to.
Try and either talk directly with your IP as people have suggested or consult another firm.
Our adviser was lovely.
We are all in the same boat here and there are plently of companies you will not treat you in such a horrible manner.
Good luck
x

hi stressed 1, i originally chose a different company to deal with our iva, but gut feeling made me do more research, and i found this site and decided to change, i have gone with melanie and her team and have absolutely no regrets,i probably prolonged our outcome by quite a few weeks, but i would rather do that than not be 100% happy with my ip.Please dont rush into this, because you will have dealings with who ever for 5 years and you need to have confidence in them. best of luck. x

Stressed which company are you using? it isnt one that gathers the info and charges upfront fees is it? because you dont need to pay them and you will lose your money if the iva is rejected

It seems to me that the chappie you are dealing with lacks communication skills - speak to your proposed Nominee and if you are still unhappy change to someone who you feel comfortable with. The delay - no more than 14 days could be worth it. Visit www.iva.com for reviews on practitioners that are human, responsible and simply nice. Good luck.
