Hello all,

Its been a long time since I posted on here but everything has been going great until the other day I received a letter from MAX Recovery which had a statement in it.

It was not asking for payment but was stating they had to send me this until no sum is payable.

The statement of 352 from last November and then said closing balance of last statement was 566.

On the back it says if I have any problems then to contact my IVA people. It also says the account balance might not be up to date in terms of the way the IVA will pay my final settlement over tothe creditors.

Do I worry about this letter or just leave it as my IVA has been completed quite a long time ago.

I too received a statement last Saturday from the same people and filed it but I am in an IVA, not sure about you having finished yours a while ago. How long ago did you complete your IVA?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Must be some kind of mistake - maybe Max haven't processed the IVA completion yet. It might be worth sending them a short letter with a copy of your completion certificate, asking them to update their records.
Take care,

I completed my IVA last march officially. So it seemed a bit long for them to have not received the payment.

Im going to write to them with the completion letter I think

How are you managing post IVA? My wife and I are 6 months away from completing ours and although we don't want any more credit (EVER), it seems that credit checks are carried out for almost everything e.g. car insurance, etc.

Hi dwardle.

I have amended your login details to remove the email address. We find that you will get a lot of spam if you post that.

Well done on being so close to the finish line.

Credit checks are not normally carried out for insurances. I've taken out insurance since being in an IVA with no problems.
