I am after help...I made my last payment to GT November 2010 and am still waiting for my closure certificate. I have made numerous phone calls requesting call backs but have have been kept waiting for weeks. at this point i have had to call back and start from scratch again trying to ascertain what is going on. I made all my payments on time and was informed that the distribution of funds has been messed up and that it takes time to resolve this. i have then been told that i have to wait due to a mass variation and then PPI. Can anyone help. I have even gone to the financial ombudsman only to be told that they can do nothing with regards to IVAs. i had a reply from the supervisor stating that it may take at least another 6 months and when i have phoned for updates have been told to just wait and wait and wait.

Time to stop them running over you and get this into the proper hands.
Did you go through Grant Thorntons complaints procedure??
If so then your complaint should now be esculated to

http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/contac ... ts-Gateway

TBH even if you havent been through the Grant Thornton complaints process thats such a mess and world of incompetence i would complain to them anyway considering they will just spend three months either ignoring you or just handing out more excuses.

Anyone that has any problem with this company should complain officially they ruining far too many peoples lifes recently!!

The Financial Ombudsman does not deal with IVA related complaints - you need to refer to the IPs own regulatory body.

Was your case handed to GT by another firm of IPs - as the issue of incorrectly distributed funds does seem to be a common issue affecting some of the GT closures right now.

Melanie, yes i started off with Blair Endersby. It was transferred a long time ago. I have contacted them so many times and complained it is unbelievable. I will admit i was clutching at straws by going through the ombudsman as i felt i had absolutely no where else to go. Every time i contacted GT ii was given the same answer over and over again. I have recently received another message from them stating that all should be complete by the end of October. This is about the tenth time i have been given a estimated closure date so will wait but will not hold my breath

Well its time for an update.....I have phoned GT every week so as to try and move forward and actually get a CC.

Most times i have been told that i should receive this by end of Oct or start of Nov but today i received a whole new line that said i will not be getting my CC until end of December.

How can they keep getting away with this. While i type this i am on hold with the complaints gateway. This month is the 3 year anniversary of my final payment. I have complied with everything that has been asked of me and i am sure that if i had not i would have had to suffer major ramifications, GT can, it seems ruin peoples lives for years and years and get away with what ever they want.

I would love for this message to get through to someone at GT but i am sure it would not make one bit of difference.

I can only hope that the complaints gateway can get this whole closure issue moved on not just for me but for everyone
