The heating allowance payable to those over 60 is due about now.

If you are in receipt of this allowance, do you have to inform your IP, or is it purely to be used to help towards your bills?

As far as I am aware you do not have to declare it to your IP as this is essential for Pensioners to keep them warm. It would be a pretty heartless IP to ask for any of it
