Hello again,i am just banging my head against a brick wall with lloydstsb now! you may remember i asked for advice a few months ago because my husband has an IVA,we had a joint overdraft and i know i am liable for that too.Its been 3 years now and still the bank says there have been no payments made to that account number from anyone,Payplan have told them there has,i have told them, ive sent faxes and copies of the Iva and of the payments, which are now nearly £1000!!! but they still say ive got to pay the whole amount and its our fault if the payments arent going to the right place!I know they added the overdarft to a loan i had with my daughter just after the Iva started because the loan amount jumped up by the amount we owed, they then moved it again but it got bigger!!They just arent interested in anything to do with my husband because they have taken his name off of the debt,so how on earth do i get them to find the money that his Iva is paying? And is it legal to move a debt around like that?the loan was being paid without any problems by direct debit untill they added the overdraft to it and refused the payments, which sent it into default, ive got letters from 3 different debt collectors asking for different amounts over 3 years,i dont know what else to do!I have offered £20 a month while things are sorted and they dont answer me,ive sent letters of complaint too,and nothing! what else can i do?
I do remember your posts and I am sorry that you are having so many problems.
I really don't know what to suggest.
One of the professionals will be along later hopefully to answer the questions for you.
Just didn't want you to think you were being ignored.

Your husband's IP needs to deal with this. Often, major banks put all dividend monies into a suspense account, and do not correctly reduce the outstanding balances directly from the loan or overdraft. This can often get even more confusing when debts are sold.
Lloyds are now represented by a very well known firm of accountants, who are really helpful in sorting out issues like this. Your IP will know who they are, so I suggest that you bounce this issue back to them and request that they sort it out.
Thank you for your replies,i will be getting my husband back on to payplan tonight. In the meantime after another phone call i have just been told that the same amount of money is being paid into the loan account each month from another source!!They dont want to look into it because it is being paid with no problems, all very fishy because of course its being paid regularly,by my husbands IVA payments!the loan is only in mine and my daughters names so that cannot be legal surely.
Payplan should sort all of this out and I'll get them to prioritise this for you asap. Sorry you have had such a hassle.

Hi Laronshove, sorry to see that you are having problems with Lloyds due to the joint debts.
If you can email me directly with your name etc, I can have a look into this personally for you and contact Lloyds also.
My email address is on my file on here.
That would be great Kazz, its hard to deal with it because obviously its not my Iva and my husband is at work ALL the time ,where can i find your file and e mail here? Thank you for taking the time to help.
Sharon.
Hi Sharon
You can either contact admin and get them to give you my email address, or give the office a call and request to speak to me directly.
The latter would be preferred due to problems with emails on the forum at present.
Thanks

Sharon.
