Hello,
Our IVA is due to end soon, with the last payment being in January 2016. We contacted DFD earlier this year with regard to the procedure we had to follow in checking if there is any equity in our home (as per our agreement). We knew there wouldn't be any but weren't sure what we needed to do - they said they had already checked and there wasn’t and that we didn't need to do anything.

Now it’s closer to that magical date, we are wondering whether there is anything we need to do to ensure a smooth closure and gain our certificate of completion. We’ve read so many horror stories relating to the end of IVAs with DFD and want to do everything we can to avoid the same. We are also concerned about any future backlashes or claims regardless of completion “on paperâ€￾. Particularly as we would like to change our mortgage (we are currently with NRAM) and don’t expect that to be very easy. Any advice on that would be gratefully received too.

We had a 3 month extension to our agreement due to loss of employment and are now paying that. We didn’t sign any new agreements whereby they were insisting loans were taken out at the end of the IVA. We have filled out goodness knows how many forms from Equity in Finance about PPI claims and they’ve made a nice sum of extra cash on that too. We have always followed all instructions and have never missed a payment. We are hoping that all of this goes in our favour.

Could anyone please advise on what we should do to keep things moving smoothly and where we stand regarding any future requests for PPI, windfalls (unlikely!), etc.

Many thanks

Angie

I'd be interested in this too. Mine is going to end in Feb (All going well) so would like to know what to expect when I make that last payment

If everything has been done to the letter as you say it has theres not a lot more you can do other than wait for the cc to arrive, the best thing to look forward too is the iva payment NOT coming out of your bank the following month.

Just cooperate with any requests for info from your IP and keep pressure on them to close quickly for you. As regards the remortgaging this might be an issue for you - speak to one of the experts on here Ryan or Shaun.
