Hi Ray
Thanks for getting back. It wouldnt even boot up this morning. I had a message saying windows failed to something, install the disk and click repair... bla bla. Anyway I was on the phone to them yesterday and had a very good argument. I will get my money back from Medion, spoke to their tecckies but they kept on telling me to switch it off for 10 seconds (I wonder how much they get paid for that?). Well anyway, I could hear them laughing so I taped the conversation and the upshot is, the product isnt capable of functioning like it should and the teckies are just as crap. How could they argue with that? I was given some money last week so I will go and get a decent make. I dont need much, just something to store music, photos, etc and task launcher (I am scatterbrained) the internet of course and wireless. I will take someone with me who might knnow what to look for.
That laptop has caused so many problems, more than it would ever solve, cant wait to get rid, someone is working on it at the moment but they did say, its really screwed up. Its not fit for purpose (you dont say?) and it shouldnt have left the shop in that state, so I am entitled, just to a refund or replacement. I Dont want a replacement, not with after sales care like that.
Anyway, thanks very much, couldnt get back on until now, had to borrow a lappy.
Went out today to look, asked for a deal; Comet, just wanted to sell insurance for half price, wouldnt come down on the lap top. I had their insuance before with a fridge freeezer, ended up with trading standards, they left me without anything over the easter hols, in their brochure it said if you wait more than 3 working days youre entitled to a new one. Went to the shop demanded my money back, they said they would call the police, I said OK, go ahead, my kids will get better fed at the nick, cant feed them on tinned food, they have allergies. I got my money back. (I didnt swear, or shout, I said I wouldnt budge until something got sorted. I did tell everyone on the way in not to bother with the insurance though, I dont think they liked that).
Currys, were good, offered a flash drive, a card reader and some software.
PC World, didnt even get served, no one interested and the prices were higher than the other two. Didnt bother.
