Forgot to mention Claire said I had a divident of £0.11p in the pound to offer the creditors for my full & final lump sum settlement.. She seemed quite confident it would be accepted but to me it sounds very low.

What kind of dividends have you guys had accepted or have u heard or such a low divident being accepted?

So I suppose £0.11p on a £44k debt may be ok then based on that...[8)]

I'm sure you'll be fine, we're all different and although mine wasn't full and final I think I look to achieve 33p or something similar on 50k debt. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I'm sure you'll be ok Russ. The thing in your favour, is your willing to offer the creditors cash NOW. And not over 5/6 years. Bird in the hand etc. The IP may want a PPI disclaimer from you though.

Hi russ, me and hubby are up to the same step as you (interlocking iva) and also doing a full & final, I had my chat with Sue yesterday (and what a lovely lady she is) and I received my proposal today! (So quick). Mine is 0.13/£ so we are very similar. What a fantastic partner you have in helping you out, were very lucky as my in laws are able to help us, fingers crossed for us both! Just to let you know, Sue is absolutely lovely, I had a very good and informative chat with her, dont be scared to ask her questions even if it sounds silly, talking to her certainly put me at ease, im so glad I got to chat with her, good luck x

Hi russ, we received our proposals yesterday so were going to read and sign them tonight, I think once weve posted them back and they receive them, they then arrange the creditors meeting, so hopefully we should know soon, were going to post the proposals back on Monday!

Hi Russ and dlovesg

We are also doing an interlocking F&F IVA and are also with Melanie's team. Our dividend is only 9p (on £85K) so it is heartening to hear that yours are not too far off. You don't hear much about these sorts of IVA so it's good to hear others are going through them at the same time. Ours is thanks to my Mum, who on finding out about our financial troubles, has offered to empty her ISA, and we really can't thank her enough.

We got our proposal back today - our meeting is on Monday 25th. Hope we all get the outcome we are so desperate for. Keep us posted!

Evening my friends.

I was hoping someone may be able to clear something up for me as I have emailed Sue who is dealing with my case but at this time of night I cannot imagine her replying and really wanted to get this sorted so I can post it first thing tomorrow morning.

I have had my proposal etc in the post today and these are the things I am not sure about...

1. It says about enclosing the first cheque for monthly amount for iva with the signed docs and returning them... but as mine is a full & final there would only be one cheque which would be for the full amount, so do I enclose that and does my partner date it as of today and post date it or leave the date blank?

2. Also it says that I am bound to the iva for 12 months but I thought if it got accepted then... thats it? although I realise I would have to wait for the completion certificate.

3. Also I would want to take one of those credit cards out to try and improve my credit rating (cant remember of hand which company now) but am I now allowed to do that once it gets accepted? (all being well)

Last query not relating to the proposal but if it gets accepted do I only really start requesting to see credit files etc once I have the completion certificate?

Hope someone can help!

Thanks [;)]

Hi Russ, unless you have been requested to ensure the funds are with your IP prior to the porposal going out I would imagine it may be an oversight on the wording of the letter.

With regard to the 12 month term, yes once an IVA is accepted it is formally in place however it can take some time for the administration and distribution of funds. there amy also be a clause regarding provision for unexpected contingent creditors coming forward.

Yes you can apply for a credit card once your IVa as formally completed however remember the IVA will be on your credit record for 6 years from the date of acceptance so it may not be easy.

You can requst to see credit files anytime but it is more logical once you have your completion certificate as there would have been a trigger to have the IVA removed.

Do go back to Sue tomorrow to clarify all of this though to ensure she is of a similar mind.

:-)
