Our meetings were 12 and 1215, we got call from Tom at Mels office at about 1245-1300, so it wasnt long to wait, when we got the meeting date through I did ask them how long we had to make ourselves available for and they advised a couple of hours, not long for you now!

Cheers!

The only modification was something to do with the IP Fee but that won't effect the IVA being accepted. Claire said she will be calling me tomorrow just to say everything has been wrapped up [^]

Congratulations dlovesg and Russ.
Cheers wiggle!

I was going to start a new thread but may as well post on here now. What is the process now generally for cleaning up or correcting my credit file? Is it a case of waiting the 5 years (or is it 6 can't remember now) and then requesting copies and updating it or can I do it now... Or when I get my completion certificate?

Bit confusing...

Hope someone can clear this up for me as naturally it is something I want to get on top of just a case of whether I can do that when I get my certificate or when the 5/6 years are up.

There is little point in doing anything with your credit file just yet as you can't start to clean it up until your IVA is complete.

When you have your completion certificate you can send this to creditors so they correctly update your file and then any defaults will fall off 6 years after your IVA was approved.

Great news on your IVA being accepted :-)

Cheers for that Kelly... that has certainly cleared things up for me. I will start the process when I get the certificate then... simples [:)]

Out of interest what would I be looking to see on my credit file when requesting to see it? as in to make sure it is correct?

When you credit check yourself you need to check if any defaults have been registered after your IVA was approved.

Obviously it is only a few days after approval you might not be too worried but if it is months after approval you will need to send your completion certificate to that creditors and get them to backdate the default to the date the IVA was approved. That way the default falls off after 6years. Any defaults should also be updated to partially satisfied or satisfied.
