Hi All,
As most of you know me and my partner had an IVA proposal rejected back in March by one creditor (NR)we have since begun a DMP to see us through some time while we explore and try and come to a more acceptable offer for NR.

The DMP is set up and is working ok a few of our creditors have now sold on the debts and most of the companies are accepting our current offer and freezing interest also saying that so long as this is not breached no further action will be sought.

Although when we are contacted by these companies they are all pointing out that we are with a company that are making a monthly charge and at present are recieving £45 a month from our payment.

The companies are advising us to check out CCCS and PAYPLAN what does everyone think to this, advice here would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks
Julie

I can only speak from my own experience but I found CCCS to be very helpful and down to earth. I did not enter a DMP with them (I entered an IVA with another company) but they certainly were great in setting out what each of my options would mean. They did work out a pretty tight I + E budget for me though!!!

My understanding is that CCCS do not charge you directly for setting up or managing your DMP but that they receive a percentage back of all monies paid into it from your creditors. If you have a look at the earlier thread titled "CCCS" you will see some lively debate about them. From my point of view - I have nothing but praise for them. You will see from other posts though that some view them as having a cosy relationship with the banks and I am no expert on DMPs or DMP providers!!

I cant comment on Payplan or any of the fee charging DMP companies - but looking around cant do any harm!
47 months completed - 13 months to go.
