Just wanted to say Sharon that I'm really pleased that things are being sorted out and that you feel a bit more positive towards your IVA.

Got my revised I&E today from the IP. But still thoroughly confused. Perhaps someone could explain to me why they have higher salaries for us which does not give a true reflection of our GDI. Using our figures our GDI is £460 but their figures make the GDI £586.46. I can only earn what I earn. I don't have another income so why hike our salary to show a higher GDI?

You need to ask them that question directly, Sharon, as we could only help if we had sight of the actual documentation used in the review. Are you paid monthly, or every four weeks, as the IP's figures will be based upon monthly figures.

Hi Melanie, we are both paid monthly. Reply from IP The reason why the allowed net income/s differed was due to the fact I had increased them at your latest review to allow you both to earn more before the 50% rule comes into practice to take into account the significant increases in your outgoing/s.

This makes no sense to me at all.....

Sounds like they have taken an average of your actual earnings rather than working on your basic salaries. I think you need a fuller explanation of how these figures have been calculated.

Andy we don't get overtime. We are on fixed salaries.

s

Melanie, could this be why they have increased our IVA payments?

Agreed - they need to spell out exactly what they have done.
