Glad you're feeling more positive Dee - make sure you get advice from Melanie's office or another IP before your meeting.

Sorry Dee, I may be confused. I thought you have your creditors meeting on Friday? If so you need to make sure you're happy with the IVA company before this meeting goes through.

Dee,

I have read the below email and would say that you actually hung up on me. I was still on the line when I heard you speak to your friend and then your phone cut off so I thought you ended the call or possibly you lost your signal but I never put the phone down on a client. Our calls are recorded and can prove as such.

I am sorry if you feel I did not speak to you in an inappropriate manner but you have let us down on payment each week since 27/7/08 which is when your standing order was due to be paid. Each week since then there has been a different reason as to why you can not pay. As you are fully aware our terms of business are that a payment is due to us within 30 days of receiving a case. We have had your case since early June, to pay in September is simply unacceptable. Your creditors expect that if you have not been paying them that you have been paying into your IVA and the paperwork we send creditors gives them details of any payments made by clients. They do not view cases kindly were clients have not been paying them or us and may reject them on that basis. Please do not forget an IVA has to be agreed by creditors.

If you are able to pay by Thursday or Friday this week as you promised yesterday we will still hold your creditor meeting next week. If you will not be paying then I wish you luck in the future and will send back your paperwork accordingly.

Regards

Claire

Credit Control Manager

I think we need an expert here - if you're not in an IVA yet, surely the creditors will not care if you've been paying this company as these payments will not be taken off your overall IVA debt.

As for who put the phone down, you could request the taped call and see what happens or just forget it and go to another company for advice.

Whatever you decide to do Dee, I wouldn't pay this particular company any more money.

Hi Dee
If you jump ship now it may take several weeks to propose a fresh IVA.
Would it be better to ask for a different case manager and then make the first payment ?

Hi
Take advice from another couple of providers and see what they can offer. It is a five year relationship and you need good communication from the start.
It may be best to move before you commit
