Help with compilying Full & Final settlement letter please.

Could any one out there assist me as to how to word a request letter with regard to making a full and final settlement offer.

My partner who is not named on my IVA wishes to help by offering a gift to settle my IVA account early.

If anyone could help in this matter by way of what relavant information needs to be included within it, I would be most obliged. Thanks for your time.

Dear XXX

I am writing to ask if you would be prepared to put forward an offer of early settlement using funds of £xxx to be provided by my partner, which can be made available within xxx weeks.

If this sum is not acceptable, could you let me know what would be required to present an offer to creditors that you felt had a good chance of acceptance.

You are welcome- and if the offer is a reasonable one, there is no reason why creditors should reject it.

Thanks for your best wishes. I know that the word "reasonable" can be interpreted in so many ways but in my case I owe around £7,500 but also have an equity release clause within my IVA at the end of year 4 set at £14,800. I have already approached lenders to see if I can borrow the equity release amount and all applications have to date, come back negative. Therefore would it be deemed "reasonable" to offer the £7,500 as the Full & Final figure as this would include the total amount I would pay if my IVA was extended for a further 12 months due to me not being able to re-mortgage the 14k ?

You will really need to discuss this with your IP as the answer is bound to lie within the terms of the original IVA agreement.
