I am in the 3rd year of a 5 year IVA and am in line for a promotion at work.
This will attract an increase in salary.
However, a condition of the promotion is that I become a member of a Professional Institution (c. £200/annum and undertake a professional examination during my first or second year's membership c. £500 exam fees).
I accept that much (if not all) of my additional earnings will be added to my income/expenditure assessment but is it 'automatic' that the additional Professional Subscription and Fees will be taken account of?

Hi there - I would think these payments would have to be allowed as they allow to to work. I'm a member of a professional institution, but my employer pays for these. Is this an option with your employer?
Hi there and welcome. I too would think it could be offset against your additional earnings. Well done on the promotion.
Hubby has to have a medical for his job and had to get something necessary to his job and this was allowed to be offset before they took the 50% for our overtime.
Speak to your supervisor they will be able to confirm this definatively for you.
