It was a while ago Lyns.

Shoes I can agree with - not handbags though!

I love my hand bags!!! Im lucky that I have two lovely friends whom get me a new one usually every Christmas :)

Some are not very practical - but I just never know when I might need them for a certain occasion or outfit or shoes :)

I have just tried to log into my bank account with Nationwide and noticed that my current account has been removed. This was in my IVA Proposal, so I guess they are just putting a block on it ?

If they are one of your creditors then you may well find that they have closed it.

No worries Rich we're all learning everyday and if you add some people as Frugal friends you can converse that way via email.

Seems strange at the moment. I have always made minimum payments to all my creditors and last month only made token payments to them. Some creditors have returned the payments that I sent them. I am now getting phone calls and default notices as my accounts are all now in arrears. I just wish the meeting of creditors could be sooner. Keep wondering how the voting is going, wish my ip would give me some idea... Rich xx

Unfortunately Rich your IP won't tell you until the date of the meeting.

As to the letters, don't let them bother you. We all have them and you should just send them to your IP and let them deal with it.

Hi All

not long to go now until my creditors meeting. I will be offering 27p to the pound. I really hope that this will be accepted. In Bankruptcy it says they would get 16 p in the pound. If its not accepted I dont know what I will do....... but I will be asking you all for your guidance thats for sure ! Rich

It is very unusual for an IVA to be rejected and your IP must be confident of acceptance. However, in the unlikely event of a rejection the meeting can be adjourned for up to 14 days to address queries or concerns that creditors might have. Even if still rejected you can go bankrupt, enter a DMP or even resubmit the IVA proposal if creditors indicate a change of heart.

Hopefully it will not come to any of this and your IVA is approved without incident.

Hi All

just rang my ip again to see if they would tell me how the voting is going. My meeting is on the 18th Monday. They said that most creditors vote the day before and as to date they have had no votes. Seems strange as when I spoke to them before they said everything was looking good. I just wanted to hear something that would make me feel better. If it is rejected and I end up in a dmp does the ip sort this out for me ? I have the first IVA money available, I would rather pay them now rather than wait until the 18th is that possible to do that? More calls from Citibank ( Opus ) leaving urgent messages for me to contact me with my Daughter. They rang 8 times at work, so even my employer is wondering what is going on. I didnt want to tell them and just said I was late with a payment.
