Hi all

I have just reviewed my credit report, and it appears that from the date i started my IVA 02/06/06 some of the company's have defaulted my account 1 year later which is very unfair. As it will take a further year to have a good credit rating.

Does this happen regularly to people, and can it be fixed without much hassle.

I understand that the credit ref agencies will contact the third party but will they refuse to change it do you think.

Regards
Dave

You will have to contact the creditors concerned and tell them to remove the defaults.

I don't believe the CRA's will do this for you.

Jan, do you know the legislation under which the defaults have to be removed?

I believe it is the Consumer Credit Act and you should write to the credit reference agency informing them of the wrong information that is recorded on your credit report.
