hi, my iva ends in feb next month, i have an equity clause in the agreement, and like so many others there is very little equity in the house. my problem is getting the second decline for a remortgage. Payplan provided one but i need another one. i have tried ringing direct to the banks etc and tried online, i get refused but no confirmation. can anyone help, do they know of a sympathetic lender that will provide me with the required confirmation that the mortgage request has been declined. thanks

Hi, Chris. Have you tried your current mortgage provider? Mine was happy to do a letter declining a remortgage.

I used my current mortgage lender and the secured loan provider and had no problem with getting the rejection.

Try any Independent Financial Advisor locally to you chris3592 - but I suggest that you do not mention that you need this for a current IVA as they may have no appetite for spending money on a worthless application.

In my firm we have a link (not financial - merely professional) with a local firm of IFA's who will provide the necessary confirmation - after a proper factfind with our clients - at a cost of £100 which is paid out of the IVA funds. Maybe your own IP has similar arrangements with someone.
