Hi Fugazi, i have just spent the last 15 minutes reading through this thread and can't believe the problems you have encountered, I hope that the next 12 months pass without any further problems for you so that you can then apply for whatever is right for you and your partner. Good luck and best wishes that you can sort this out once and for all.

Hi all,

ust thought i'd pop in and say hello. I have been in a few times before just to see how things are but missed the details of the FF Xmas bash :(.

Have now gone back into DMP and my payments are onlt £106.00 per month, Lloyds Bank are refusing to suspend interest on my account, though they have on the loan .. figure that one out, so for every £9.00 they get each month they add ~£26.00 .. I wonder where they think I am sudenly going to get the full amount from.

Still hoping to reapply for an IVA sometime, probably when my partners debt has been paid off ...

... oh and finally I', (probably) getting married next year, all depends on the circumstances ie whether we can safe enough.

Take care all and hope all goes well at the Xmas 'do'.

Hi there fugazi and hope that you and your partner are well, sometimes it baffles me when creditors see that you are trying to sort yourself out but are hell bent on being obstructive. Good luck with your future wedding don't let this spoil things for you and your partner, in time you will look back at this period of your life and the lessons that it probably taught you. Best wishes and all the best.

Great to hear from you again. A shame about the creditors not accepting interest freeze on all accounts - especially with the same bank, but that is one of the downsides of the DMP procedure. I am sure it will settle down in due course, and good luck with the wedding plans.

Good to hear from you Fugazi, but I'm sorry to hear that Lloyds haven't frozen the interest. That really sounds like a case of left and right hand.

Good luck with the wedding plans next year, please don't let your DMP hold you back xxx

Well its been a while since i've been here, but things haven't changed much for me .. if anything they have got worse. I lost my job and couldn't even afford the reduced payments, GP said they couldn't carry on my DM and so I was left to contact all my creditors and ask them to accept a nominal payment of £5 / month .. thankfully they all agreed and suspended interest and charges. Now I have a new job, all be it at a very reduced income and I'm on the search for a new DM company, hopefully one that doesn't take a payment for themselves, any suggestions?

Wedding plans are on hold until we can afford even a small one and the date I can apply for bankruptcy is June 28th 2012 a case of hanging in there until then.

Hope you all are well.

Hi Fugazi, sorry to hear of your job loss but glad you've found another, have you tried Payplay or CCCS I think they're charity based companies that are non fee paying. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. All the best. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Payplan don't charge fees so it might be worth looking at them.

I have noted that Northern Rock turned down your original IVA offer. There have been a lot of changes with their acceptance criteria over the last couple of years, so it may be worth having a chat with an insolvency practitioner again to see if a representation is worth looking into.

Let's hope the second attempt at this produces a better attempt than the first, and well done to Payplan for agreeing to relook at this. I cannot remember the last time I had a rejection from Northern Rock - it is many years ago.

Hi all again, well PayPlan are being great, my only problem now is securing payslips from my present employer, everytime I ask there is another problem why he can't supply them, anybody know what action I can take to get them?
