Hi - there weren't any good reasons for getting into debt in my story. First got into debt at university and just didn't stop spending for a decade! Certainly nothing that would make creditors think I was worthy of having my debts written off (no redundancies, looking after sick relatives etc). I can only assume it doesn't have any bearing on the outcome.
It doesn't. As I said, spend, spend, spend was my motto. I loved my holidays and my cars and my clothes. Couldn't go out on a Saturday afternoon without popping into Evans (I was considerably larger then than I am now!) and spend up to £100 on my store card.
A lot of those clothes have gone onto Ebay since - still with tags on! I certainly don't do that now!

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
