You will have to send credit card statements, anything to do with any unsecured loans, secured loans and mortgage (if you you have any of those.)

Don't panic - you have taken the first step and as soon as you send off the required paperwork then the rest will follow!

Recovering - you not a idiot - most of us felt like that when we seen the Legal documents - but its important that its done properly by your IVA company, otherwise there could be issues later.

The most important issue -is you fully understand what your are signing- so read/reread and read again - then you ask the forum/ip/iva company as many questions as you need.

I am sure that if getting an estate agent's valuation is going to be tricky for you, your IP could arrange for one to be carried out on a "drive-by" basis. Have a chat with your IP firm to see if this could be arranged, as it might speed things up for you and you would not have to then be involved in that bit of the process at all.

Your not a idiot,
if that was the case you would not be doing any think about your debts. I sent my paper work in two lots what I had to hand, then other bits a week or so later.
Made me fell better knowing I had started the ball rolling.
the list of paper work dose look big at frist, but you will get it all.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

You're not an idiot recovering, far from it. We all panic when we realise how much debt we're in and that we can't pay it but you are not alone.

The forum will support you all the way.

Recovering hope today is a good day for you and you are doing the right thing. We both cried when we realised what a mess we were in with debt but it's in the past now and you'll get there too.

My husband, who already suffers from angina, ischaemic heart disease and COPD, was made very ill when he found out about ours. It was on my birthday as well which wasn't good!!

I have just had to have a valuation done on my house and I just told the local agent that I was probably going to have to relocate due to work and they came out, did the valuation and let me have it in writing the following week.

I don't think the valuation would take long hun, so if you rang them and told them you were thinking of moving away / downsizing or anything (!) you may be able to fit it in around your shifts?

Ours didn't take long at all - as kazza says, arrange it at a time to suit you.
