Hahaha I am sure Mel and her team can cope with you Recovering,so dont worry about that. Glad things are moving along for you, albeit it may feel slow going but rest assured they will work hard to get a proposal sorted and set you on the path to debt freedom that you want to be on.

We've all felt like that recovering.

It's amazing how you do manage to live through it, budget and manage to end up with a few pounds left each month!!

You will get there.

It takes a bit of getting used to but you can do it. You need to do things like take a list out shopping and don't vary from it. I used to do a 'virtual' online shop and compare prices at the three supermarkets I use to see which had the cheaper goods.

I also switched to some own brand goods rather than branded ones.

You'll be suprised how you adapt recovering. It does take a while but you realise what you don't actually need.
It's a fantastic feeling to know that things are being sorted. I think you have to get into the mindset that it's just a loan for 5 or 6 years. Don't keep thinking of it as an IVA. I now look at our wages each month, take off all the direct debits due that month, then the IVA and see what's left. I would hazard a guess that most people around me have more than 1 amount going out each month for credit and yeah, we might not have savings, but do they? I doubt it.
I think if you keep posting on the forum and joining in with other threads it keeps you focused and positive.
With Mel's team behind you I have no doubt that in a couple of months you'll be back to a calm state and be enjoying your new life.

hi Recovering, glad call went ok. any idea's of a rough date yet?

i am sooooo glad we don't have cards other than our bank card. on paper we've got less but it feels as though we're better off - i know that sounds strange - but we've got cash every wk for food & petrol etc i was so frightened we'd have no £ for food!

it isn't easy but it's so much better.

kazza's idea of it being like a loan is a good way of thinking.

Mel will do a good job for you - she got ours through,we were on the edge of BR.

glad you sound better[;)],big hug x
