Well done - hope your certificate doesnt take to long! Once your IP checks there has been no other windfalls/extra monies etc. he will finalise the arrangement, give the money to the creditors and notify the IVA register, issue the certificate - so can take a few months to do ! Once this is done - IVA closed/finished !!

Denis - congratulations. Now wait until your certificate of completion arrives and then write to all your creditors and the three main credit reference agencies with a copy of your certificate asking them to note your records as satisfied and nilling the balances they are currently showing. The defaults will remain on your records for 6 years from the date your IVA started - so in your case they should actually disappear almost straight away !

Enjoy your debt free life !

Congratulations denis.dr and thank you for posting the good news. The forum is such a help to those who are at the beginning of journeys, to hear of someone who has completed is such a boost!

How have you found life in an IVA?

Congratulations from me too, if you've paid for 72 installments your credit file should now be clear, if not get the creditors to delete them as you should have a clear credit file now.

The IP will issue a final dividend and report and once the payments have gone through they should close down the account and issue a certificate and write to the insolvency service to remove you from their online database.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

The main thing is that you got there in the end and you should be very proud!

Hi all,

I too have just made my final IVA payment at long last. A few bumps along the way [B)] but a great relief now the end of the tunnel has been reached [:D] Hope it doesn't take as long to receive my completion certificate.

Good luck to all those who have just started the journey.
