I just got my completion certificate through yesterday after completing my IVA last July - thanks to Karol and the guys at Grant Thornton for resolving the VAT issue so i can finally move on now.
Could anyone advise what i should do now in terms of who i should send my certificate too to build up my credit history again?
What you need to do now is check with each credit reference agency to make sure there are no defaults registered after the date of IVA acceptance. If there are then you need to write to the data controller for any creditor that has done so, enclosing a copy of your letter and tell them to remove those defaults.
Your IVA will remain on file for six years from the date of acceptance.

Hi Paul - welcome to the forum - glad to see the GT certificates are now starting to come through. Relief indeed for those who have been anxiously waiting, at least now you know they will be on their way. As with Mel I imagine GT have had their own nightmare to get to this crucial point.

Hi Paulh, congratulations on completing and recieving your certificate, it has cheered me up as i am also waiting for mine too (last payment april 2011).
With regards to the credit agencies, as well as Experian you also need to check Equifax and Callcredit too.
You can check your CallCredit file for free by registering with Noddle, the other two will cost £2.
Congratulations Paul, it's the final piece of the jigsaw and hopefully you can start to move on now.
It does make me wonder what criteria Grant Thornton are using to clear the back log as my final payment was made in June 2011 and others on this forum as far back as March 2011 still waiting for their completion certificate or maybe just a response from GT.
