Hi.
I live in Hull. We have got in a total mess with cost of living. I am disabled on DLA some income support. I have a credit card with the bank and overdraft, also lots of othere creditors. Things are strting to trip us up and need help fast.
I know what you mean, the good thing about this site is that you realise that you are not alone, I thought I would be the only one with debts over £30,000, but I am just one of many, speak to Melanie Giles (she seems to be the expert of experts)
You need to speak to an Insolvency Practitioner as soon as possible. Either visit www.iva.com where you will find a list of companies, or click on the expert link on the left hand side of the page, all the professesionals come highly recommended.
They will go through all of your options with you, and advise you as to the best way forward.
You will get all the support you need from the forum as well, so feel free to ask us anything.

Try to have a word with your local Citizens Advice if you can. They will make sure you are getting all the benefits you are entitled to, and can also advise about your debts.
If you have no income other that benefits they can help with getting your debts written off, and advise on bankruptcy if that would be suitable for you.
That's great advice from Go For Broke - the CAB offer a very good service for the disabled, and ought to be a able to write to your creditors and explain the situation on your behalf.
Or you can as Kallis3 suggested speak to an Insolvency Practitioner - his/her advice will be free. Good luck.

I agree with Go4Broke and Melanie, the CAB is a good place to start as they will be able to help you with everything, not just your debts. Once you have spoken to them and made sure you're getting everything you're entitled to then it would be worth considering contacting an IP.
