Ox im sure mel wont put forward a plan if unlikely to be accepted. Speak to them direct about your situation.
We had Lloyds (loan&OD) Halifax, Barclaycard (each) MBNA, Nationwide (loan,OD and CC!)
We all feel it wont be accepted but creditors usually get much more back from iva than they would in BR so in their best interests to accept.

I would say at least five creditors. If your F&F IVA fails i cant see why a regular one would and as far as i know (although Melanie would be the one to ask) you can go back to a DMP if your proposal is not accepted but there is just no reason why it wouldnt be! I just had to make myself believe mine would be accepted. So many people have put on this forum that Melanie would not put a proposal foward that is likely to fail!

The number of creditors has no relevance to the viability of an IVA. I've done cases with one creditor in the past.

Ox..great to see you posting again, remember we are all here for you at different stages of our own journies. For specific advice my own personal opinion would be no oe better than your chosen IP ....you have chosen a great set of people to represent you and they will be there every step of the way ....in just over 6 weeks time you will hopefully look back on this and reflect and like most of us wonder why we didn't take the plunge sooner....keep posting and remember we are all friends on here x

Just a quick question I opened up a new account for my banking a few weeks ago and my salary is due to go in. It was for the DMP route and is a Nationwide Flex basic account which was recommended to me.
Now I will go the IVA route will I have a problem with the account.
All my DD's are in process of being switched over and dont fancy having to tell work of another new bank account......

Yes I have replied to that. Great to hear about the sleep, that will help you no end.

Having just read a post on another thread, just check on that account. I have know clients have that account ok but it seems that some have a problem. Check to be safe.

I will see who else posts a response also.
I agree I saw some that were ok and others not
I hope that I opened pre it would be ok and I dont mind if they just downgrade it but dont really want to move again

Really keen to get it moving now, and hope it is successful (nervous on that one dont really want to go back to long DMP or worst BR especially as enjoying job) as I want to move on debt free and enjoy the kids as I should.......getting stressed again....after a few good days

Thanks Luluj

Just getting a bit stressed had some good days but now down a bit as nervous about the what ifs especially if it is rejected but hopefully it wont be. Stressed about the bank account also seen some people have suggested it would be closed down

Had some really good days and great nights sleep but now down a bit..saw the light at the end of the tunnel but seems further away now

Hi Ox -- all of us were all over the place in the early days - it is normal, and it is early days --- but you are doing great!

It WILL get easier. If you let "Team Mel" guide you, they will take great care of you and your family.
