I'm not entirely sure what the significance of 28 days is? If you are referring to a date when your contributions are due to start this should be detailed in the proposals.

It's normally first payment within 28 days of the creditor meeting but the companies like it earlier than that if possible.

I believe Starry is referring to the 21 / 28 days notice required for a variation meeting.

I had presumed he had only just started an IVA and it was the initial contribution that was being asked about. Thanks for clarifying Foggy.

Sorry Lisa we have put an f&f forward so was abit confused when the 28 days started but I've spoken via email to aperture and our proposal will be with us middle of next week at the latest and then the 28 days starts.....sorry for any confusion we've been in our ivas just less than a year but finances have reduced dramatically so my dads offered an f&f.

Kazza thanks for your reply 4 months seems long but I suppose it depends on the circumstances surrounding f&f's or just some ips like to be slow and make sure they get it right, ours is unsustainable says aperture so maybe that's why they are being fast as no ones getting any money currently as we had to stop our standing orders which is not what we wanted but we hung on I till we couldn't do anymore

Hi Starry30, well fingers crossed for you then that it all comes together quickly with the right outcome for you. Think it's a combination with Payplan - they said from the off they have a big back log, but also my husband has since found employment (he was made redundant - hence the f&f) and after a 2 month payment break we are managing to plod along with slightly reduced payments. As said before though they have been thorough so I'm not complaining in the slightest. What will be will be! I wish you all the very best, and do make sure you keep us all updated on here!

Best of luck - I hope creditors accept the F&F so you can move on and take control back over your finances.

We received proposal today and the creditors meeting is on the 4th August very nervous as we know about these meetings now when we started out Ivas we had no real clue about anything.

I'm paying 34p in the £ compared to 62
My partner 14p instead of 24 I'm not exactly clear on how these figures are sorted out as our proposals from clear debt say 18 and 19p but I'm not going to argue haha from what i can see our offer plus ppi and funds already made doesn't take us too far off the total of what we would pay into our ivas after 5 years from the breakdown ms in our forms as my partner has the most from the lump sum and i have the remainder I have paid more into mine.

The funny thing is it says 7 months for closure.....really....hopefully not cant see why it would take that long for our cc

Fingers crossed for you - not too long to wait now.

A lot of firms are taking a while to issue completion. You may find you get it quicker if you sign a Deed of Assignment in case any PPI claims surface.

Good luck for August 4th. Closure can take a while but hopefully it won't be the case for you.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi thank you kallis, Lisa and Lesley hope it's finished rather soon. The countdown is on haha

Can I just ask as drsp are joined to cleardebt and have nothing to do with aperture (I know this as I had to chase up my ppi claim last week even though cleardebt had cashed it and paid drsp and was just sitting in the account waiting) as they are looking into my partners ppi (he has none well nothing of significance anyway they have already found some on his current car but said there wasn't enough for all of them so vw and drsp basically called it quits) will this hold up our completion certificate as they are different companies and we don't have anymore anyway so will quite happily sign the relevant forms anyway ?

I wouldn't think it would hold it up but it won't hurt to sign anything if you need to.
