Hi My partner wants to leave me. She has no debts but is in my IVA. What happens?

Hi
My partner wants to leave me she has no debts but is in my Iva?(income/expenditure) what happens? As I still can make the repayments. I have had loads of arguments over this week and she wants to separate from and I feel like taking antidepressants from the doctor.. Please can

When and if she leaves you will have to do an fresh I&E with your IP as you will now be paying all of the household expenses. As well as this some of your expenses will reduce (less food, clothing, discount on Council Tax etc).

Regarding the antidepressants ... if your doctor feels they are appropriate then seriously consider taking his or her advice. You do not need to be on them forever, just enough to get over this hurdle.

When things settle down she might change her mind and want to come back .... but that is another matter.

Sorry to read that your partner wants to leave

As Foggy states you need to fill out a fresh income and expenditure form based on just your sole income

Post on here as much as you can because we can help with advice and support
