Hi there

An iva is just one route you can take, there are other options which you need to explore and think about before making a decision.

I would have a chat with an Insolvency Practitioner (IP) to get some advise on your individual circumstances and debt.

Have a look on www.iva.com for reviews of IP's and use the forum for any questions or support you need as we are all here for eachother,

Please get advise sooner rather than later and then you will know what your options are,

Good Luck

Hi r-s and welcome to the forum.

Take a look at www.iva.com
There you will find a list of IVA providers and reviews on each.
Contact a few. They will discuss all options available to you and the pros and cons of each, whether it be IVA, Debt Management or Bankruptcy.

Good luck x

Hi r-s and welcome.
As the others have said you should speak to an IP to find out your options. However, you say that you are working abroad. Are you working within the EU and what is your situation regarding residency? Do you pay tax in the country where you reside, it is a permanent contract and are you coming back to the UK?

Proposing an IVA from abroad can be tricky, as fluctuating exchange rates do need to be taken into consideration if you are going to make a formal offer of repayment to your creditors.

A DMP might be more suitable, if your stay abroad is only temporary.
