I think you send a copy to them (Equifax, Experian and Call Credit) so they can mark your IVA as completed.
I'd request a copy of your records from all three so that you can check what is on there.

As well as contacting all the credit agencies contact all your creditors and ask them to make sure that any defaults are marked as satisfied. You may need to contact the original creditor or if the debt has been sold on the firm which it was sold on to. Whilst you will still have defaults on your credit file it will look a lot better if they show as satisfied and there is no longer any money owing.
Also, when you check your records, make sure that none of the defaults are after the date of your IVA being approved. Your creditors are not allowed to do that, and will have to remove the record if they have.

Admin, How about a section for telling those who have completed a IVA what they can do to to get things sorted out afterwards. Like contact details for CRAs and advising people to get there defaults satisfied. I would not have know about getting my defaults satisfied had it not been for a very helpful mortgage broker who told me to do so. I thought they just sorted. themselves out once it was completed.
Didn't realise i'd have to sort the defaults out I have requested a copy of my credit file from Experian so i'll have a look at that one first.
I got a current account the other day for the first time since the iva started, so that's a good sign at least.
Also check Equifax and Call Credit as well. They may also hold defaults.

Hey everybody,
An update on my situation so far....
The current account i thought i had obtained was rejected at the last minute (gutting). I have received my credit file from Experian and Equifax and still see balances on my IVA accounts. I rang the companies dealing with these accounts and have to send my certificate off to them, but they said it was just a formality. So i shall be sending copies to all the companies and sending £2 postal order to callcredit (as their website is less than helpful unless you want to look at your credit file for a whole year). Then i shall give it about 2 months before i get all my credit files again and check that everything's done and dusted. Phew! Even after I though it was all done there's a fair bit to do.
Can't wait to see my credit file full of 'balance satisfied' notes.
Great you are making progress but unfortunately it is slow - but you'll get there in the end.

One of my creditors said i should expect it to be sorted out by beginning of July. They said it can take 28 days for credit files to be updated from the time they confirm with the credit reference companies. So they said wait til 1st July and it should be all up to date.
