Once your IVA is accepted you are protected from your creditors, from any further interest or charges.

So long as you have the required number of votes on the day all creditors will be bound by the terms and conditions of your IVA x

Once the IVA is accepted, as Lesley says, you are totally protected. It does sometimes take time for your creditors to update their systems so letters and calls may follow for a while, but they are nothing to worry about.

Hi guys, Nosasani I am in same position as yourself posted my proposal back last week to Payplan, i have noticed i have a different case officer now everything is almost done. 2 of our credit card companys with the most owing have been really good mbna have stopped everything, no calls, 2 really nice letters- v surprising!! I thought theyd be the worst obvious landed lucky with sympathetic adviser on the phone!!

Does anyone know about gas and electricity bills?? I pay 103 pm direct debit but my yearly statement iis behind by 302 they have included this in the plan. I was happy to lave it out but as it is money in debt i have to inc, will i have to have a meter?? I would hate that!!
Thanks all!!! :)

With utility arrears, you are probably better off renegotiating a higher monthly payment to accomodate the arrears moving forward. Splitting accounts between pre-IVA and post-IVA can be a nightmare.

Brilliant!

When is it?

The meetings don't last long usually, I was called within 15 minutes.
