Hi we've just started our IVA and our car has died on us beyond repair. Has anyone leased a car and if so who from ? Our IP said to get some figures together and to go from there. We deffinately can't do without a car as i have limited mobility and also two small children.

Thanks

You may find you struggle to get anyone to agree to leasing with you whilst the iva is on record.

Your best bet would to approach someone like moneybarn who are known to be iva friendly.

Good luck

Hi this also happened to me at the start of my IVA, my IP allowed my parents to take a loan out for me (£5000) to by a car and then payments for loan was taken out of my overtime each month (£125), if you know someone that can do this might work out better than leasing

Friends and family - so long as you trust each other - can often be the quickest and easiest sources of finance. What a shame that this has happened so early into your IVA - how much are you paying into the IVA on a monthly basis?
