Is there anywhere on this forum where I could ask a question without making it public? ie where no one else could read it?

Hi Lily..
An interesting challenge!
Was there anyone in particular that you wanted to address your question to or is it a question for all the experts on this forum which wouldn't be seen by the general public?

regards, admin

Thanks Melanie

I am trying to cope with all this alone and although I can see some light I am really struggling right now. I have no one on a daily basis to talk you and I just so want it all to be over.
Melanie giles.com right?

I will e-mail your website

Hello Melanie

I have just had an e-mail back from Tina, a very kind one so thank you, very much appreciated. I have tried to fill in the form mentioned but it is really difficult for my specific situation on a standard form. I will try and actually speak to someone, its quite difficult to put down all of the variables.

Once again thanks for your replies, soo grateful

This is for 'Admin:
Bit confused when folk are called 'Forum Expert' when they are in as deep a mess as most of us - surely 'Forum Expert' should not be on number of posts, but on knowledge of IVA procedure such as Melanie?

Some experts have technical prowess of the highest order,
some have real life experience of the traumas that have to be faced.....
both are invaluable!!

Thanks admin

I do try to stress that I am not an expert in the Melanie sense 'bigpete' I dont mean to confuse, thanks for reminding me about the mess, too. I should stop posting in order not to confuse, perhaps?

Hi Admin, fair enough I've been through the traumas myself, but no way would I call myself an expert - an expert is (as you say)'Technical prowess of the highest order' You are 'Admin' 'cause you are admin. But going through the posts there are numerous 'forum experts' saying they are not 'experts' or asking for advice - just seems confusing for new one's to this site. And I've been following this site for a long time and it is a unique source of information and will no doubt be getting bigger and much more read - congratulations for that. BUT can't a new designation be found for high posters which would describe them better? New Poster, Intermediate poster, Mature Poster et el? - just a thought

I have only tried to help people in the same situation, especially those who 'feel'totally desperate as I once did. Maybe I should be called 'Big mess' expert.

I am a little reluctant to post admin

freelili: "I should stop posting in order not to confuse, perhaps?" - and "Maybe I should be called 'Big mess' expert" Nope, carry on of course. Incidentally with my own £204,000 debts I think I have a sort of right to call mine; 'BIG mess' too? But even with all the desperation and intense worry, I came through, but I still 'aint an expert. It was not a personal attack just a clarification on what titles mean..

First to Lily
Think of all the people you have helped with your wonderful postings of support and encouragement when they have been desperate with no-one to turn to... you have been a lifeline for them.
Please continue to post.. I repeat you are INVALUABLE. We would be desolate without you.

To bigpete
Thank you for the feedback.
We are glad that the forum has been useful and we are very glad that so many people have found it so. Many of these people have expressed their gratitude and moved on to a new life when their problems have been solved.

Some however have stayed with us to pass on all the experience and knowledge they have gained to others. They together are holding all the wisdom of the forum - and they are holding it in trust for all the many people who seek out this forum for help now and in the future. We cannot thank them enough. They are in truth FORUM experts. And as the forum evolves and grows, they will be ever more important.

I AM SURE IT WASNT A PERSONAL ATTACK, PUT YOURSELF IN MY POSTION. I NEVER CLAIMED TO BE ANY SORT OF EXPERT, OR ANYWAY IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS MELANIE. YOU REFERRED TO MY 'BIG MESS' I NEVER REFERRED TO YOURS.

For Lilli

I have read this forum for months and even though not posting for a long time, it helped me through a very difficult time in my life and reading everybodys posts gave me the support I needed. Sometimes you need a shoulder not the technical stuff or a bit of encouragement to keep going and your posts are nothing other than expert, so please keep posting.
