Hi

Have you tried a site called freecycle, you can offer things but also reuest them. Obviously they are not always new but it does save money.

The site can be accessed by going to a search engine and ask for freecycle for your area. ie freecycle leeds.

Good luck

You shouldn't have to sleep on the floor and slightly better would be cheap Futon. Good Luck

The replacement of household items should be budgeted for - I always include a house mainteneance allowance of £20 to £30 in my client's proposals which they are advised to save up to meet the cost of replacing items such as furniture and electrical goods.

A payment break may be an idea - especially if you are in the throws of a variation in any case - but don't just look to the IVA for that. If you have a mortgage - why not also see if you could arrange a payment holiday there.

Argos have some very good furniture deals at reasonable prices.

Hi Melanie,
I don't have a mortgage as I rent. I could see if I could get a 3rd party to help me out or as you say I can have a look at argos as well as Harverys that has been recommended previously by a number of members.
Regards,
Paul
