Hi Guys
Its coming to the time where I need to provide a mortgage balance and have the home valued for the potential equity release.
My IVA practitioner wants to provide there own Charter surveyor for our home valuation. Can they enforce this or can I choose who does it?

The agreement is written that my wife and I would provide the valuation.
I dont feel that I would get a fair valuation as it would be in the best interest to value it high the the IVA company.

I imagine your IP will insist on his own surveyor in any event -- but you are free to provide your own valuations if you feel his are off the mark. If his valuation is too high you can fall back on the wording of the arrangement in that YOU are to provide the valuations.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
