First off your defaults will go. I had to chase 1 default cause it was running over 6 years with Call Credit, they actually delete ahead of time up to 2 weeks ahead.
Equifax delete around 2 weeks late.
Experian delete 6 years and a day.
Whilst the IVA is on your credit file, satisfied or not, you're going to have problems getting any credit or opening bank accounts. My advice would be to wait until such time your credit file is clean and then apply to Nationwide.

Great information from Matrix, I've used some of the tips posted since my IVA completed last year.
5th June 2012 I went green all over on all three CRA's, Woohoo!!
One thing to be aware of from personal experience, Equifax have a habit of posting a notice of correction when your IVA is removed from the insolvency service listing. This can get missed, will not automatically delete and will leave a lasting reminder of an IVA long after it has been removed from the public information section.
I raised an objection, my grounds being that my IVA was correctly listed in the public information section and I could see no valid reason that a notice of correction was required, effectively duplicating information already listed.
The notice of correction was removed without further ado!!!
Congrats on your completion and best wishes for your future

Yes good tip about the notice of correction, equifax is the only CRA to do this annoyingly.
