Hi everyone,

sorry not been on for a while, well today is the last of my debt finished. The removal people turned up and the house is now empty and posting the Keys back to the Mortgage company. It has been a long struggle but when i closed the door for the last time knowing that it is finally over and i can move forward. Walking around i realised that it is a just a shell. I have no regrets going BR now when i look back, so now i have time for my family and can look forward with no black clouds hanging over me anymore (apart from the ones letting the awful rain out).

All those who are entering an IVA good luck and I hope it suceeds for you. Those going BR it is not as bad as what you may think.

Take Care

Coco

Thank you all for you kind words, I am going to be in B & B for up to 6 weeks, i then will be in temporary housing until the council can home us we cannot rent privately as all the estate agents request 6 months in advance due to the BR (if i had 6 months money i would had bought the equity in the house and we could have stayed). On a brighter note no house work, cooking or washing up for a whole 6 weeks yipeeeee :-). Seriously though it is going to be tough with a teenage lad and 3 year old girl not being able to have thier own space but we have all gone through so much over the last 18 months that 6 more weeks wont hurt any off us.

Hi Coco

In some ways I am sorry that your situation has turned out that way for you!

I do hope you can find somewhere more permanent.

It is times like this that make me realise how fortunate we were in that we were able to raise the six months deposit!

I feel this is the result of our debt ridden society!

Do keep your chin up!

Best wishes to you Coco, it's you and many others on this website that has helped myself and others to get through all this. Like you say at least no housework etc for a while!
We have put our name down for a council house because we know that we couldn't afford to pay back the family member that was gonna pay my equity, and we were totally devastated at first, but I went BR and my husband did an IVA so we owe nothing to nobody and the house also has so many reminders of all the stressful times we have been through. New start all round.

I wish you and your family all the best
Lol Rachel

Well the first night in B & B went ok, was a bit nervous at first as most of the people there are people who have been really unlucky in life and trying to rebuild it (most are middle aged men with absoulutley nothing i found this quite sad) as i still have my family. It feels strange as i had to pass the house to take my daughter to playschool this morning and next week I am on holiday for a week so it will be difficult having to try and entertain the kids in one room. Anyway apart from that it is still a step forward so still feeling very positive towards the future.
