household expenses

I read in another posting about the reasonable allowable expenditures for housekeeping in an IVA agreement. I'm looking for what constitutes 'housekeeping'.

Is it for shopping, upkeep of the house, replacing worn out appliances, etc, independent of gas, electric, rates and water?

My current rates are £138 per month, water is £43.89 and gas & electric combined is £101 - giving a total of £282.89 [and rising due to rates, water and utilities going up in April]. The posting I mentioned indicated about £400 per month housekeeping for 2 adults and a child, as a guide.

Housekeeping generally covers food, toiletries and cleaning materials. I would also included house maintenance as a separate expense item to cover the other things you refer to.

CCCS guidelines will allow £370 for two adults and one child - at the upper level, with £302 at the guidlined level.
