Hi my husband and I completed our IVA in Feb this year,we had our completion certificate and worked hard on getting our credit files sorted,which they were, now all of a sudden a default debt has appeared on my noddle report with Cabot financial, never heard of them?! The date of the debt is in 1999 and date of first default is the date our IVA started on but it is still showing as in default??! How could this just appear now, who are these creditors, all our creditors were included in the IVA, I'm really upset as we are working hard to improve our rating and now this! I wrote to all our creditors when we completed requesting they update our files and they did and they were all showing as satisfied??!! Please help!
It looks like Cabot have bought one of your debts. However it is marked it will still disappear on the sixth anniversary of the start date, which they have correctly filed as the start of the IVA, so no real problem.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
