I have just come out of a relationship and discovered a very large amount of debt in both mine and ex partners name - how do I approach IVA as an option as we are now seperation but things like the mortgage are in joint names.

Many Thanks

Hi fruitbat and welcome to the forum.

Do you mean that you have joint debts, or that both of you have individual debts? Are you still both living in the property? If not, who is actually paying the mortgage, and how much equity is there in the property? If you can post more information about your debts, your income and expenditure and the property we will be able to assist further.
