You will need to make an application at your local Court for bankruptcy, which involves filling in a detailed booklet of information about your current financial circumstances, and paying a fee of £485. The Court will arrange a hearing date for you over the telephone, at which time you have to attend with three copies of the forms and a cash payment. Assuing a bankruptcy order is made on that day, then the Official Receiver is appointed to act as your Trustee and will deal with the realisation of your estate.

Please be aware that arrears of CSA cannot be discharged under bankruptcy proceedings.

Hi RJ

do you have any other debts apart from the CSA payments and possible arrears?

before you go B you should also let us know what you do and a bot more about your situation so that we can advise accordingly if you would like.
