HI guys

just wondering how do the meetings work, when you are given a date are you given a timeslot aswell or do you just have to wait all day, do they often get adjourned and if so what might be the reasons for this, i read some of you say you have to be available on the phone, as anyone been rung during their meeting, what type of thing might that be for.
sorry for the bombardment of questions but im getting closer to making THE CALL and alot of what ifs keep popping into my head.

cheers rb

Hi Rb

The if's will just keep coming. Ideally you need to register with an IP and let them be your guide. I have had my proposal this week and it states in there for me to be available all day. I think this is so that if any modifications need to be made then I cn retify them. I think you are given a time and if all is agrrable then fine if not then it could be a day/ or within next 14 days.......

I hope you get sorted soon....

thanks Marie

the day of the meeting must be the longest day ever, its amazing how once you admit youve got debt it can take over your world and the week before youre just plodding along thinking everything is hunkydory.

I think most creditors vote by form and dont go to the meeting as such!

The IVA does take over your life for a while during application..but then does subside afterwards and you just learn to live with on a day to day basis and get on with your life!

Hi there. I think there is normally always a meeting time so that the creditors have a deadline to send their votes. You have to be available all day so that if there are any mods they can be discussed and rectified if need be, and of course to let ou know the result
nearly there Rb loads of positive vibes coming your way.

Ang xx

Our creditors meeting was at 3.30. I was told that I didn't have to be there as long as my husband was there (both of us were going for an IVA). Obviously I took the day off as there was no way I could have concentrated at work!

We received our call within 30 minutes, although there are people who have to wait longer. We did have some mods, but they were easy to accept. If your mods are not what you were hoping, you can have up to 14 days to either accept or refuse them.

Probably could. Whilst I still get a bit depressed if I am short of cash sometimes, I just remember that 5 years time I will be ok. I have my dreams for then and they keep me going!

It's a real rollercoaster isn't it Rb ... my whole IVA experience served to teach me patience and gave me a much more philosophical outlook on life ... i.e what will be, will be ... that there are just some things that are out of your hands to control.
