When you are finally out of debt, I am 8 months into my IVA and at the moment the end seems like a lifetime away , I am trying my best to stay positive and keep trying to think of things to get me out of this sorry mess but as yet hve not come up with anything , just have to keep plodding on with it.

I think we all feel like this at times Fozzy. Once the euphoria of being accepted has died down you have to settle into paying it off and it does seem like a long time, especially if you have a period when you struggle and when you can't afford to buy things you want, usually Christmas and Birthdays.

You'll be amazed how quickly the time goes - I'm three years in now, and whilst it still feels as though I'm climbing a mountain, it only seems like yesterday that we were accepted.

Chin up - we're all here for a virtual hug and support.

I agree that time does fly within an IVA, I take each month as it comes and enjoy watching the countdown. You'll get there and remember we're all in the same boat or have been and will be around to support or offer advice as required. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
