Hi all,

Sorry I've not been around for sometime I have barely picked up the laptop and when I have the internet has been really slow so I have managed one post and got fedup.

Well, the school hols are nearly over and I can't wait. My son is away at camp this week and I am really missing him - the house is soooo quiet and I have time to myself.....very strange. [:0]

Since our IVA has been approved we have had a total of about 4 calls from creditors and nobody will be surprised to hear that these wer from Mercers. I think they have got the message. Also RBS sent me a few unpleasant letters but I rang and complained and they have since sent me an apology as apparently it clearly stated on their system that we were now in IVA.
Life is bizarre now that money is not the main concern anymore. Nothing can prepare you for how it feels. It's not all good though........but still it helps to cast your mind back to before IVA and this is definitely te better option. This month is going to be unbelievably tight as is next month but I'm sure everyone with children will be feeling the pinch about now with uniforms and child care along with building funds and school dinners when they return to school.
I also want to say a big thank you to the people who hve sent me e mails and stuff whilst I have been AWOL, they mean a lot. I am going to try and do better and be around a lot more over the coming weeks mainly because I miss you all lol. [:D] It may take me some time to settle back into a routine and as I am a closet control freak I hate being out of my little routine.
Well how is everybody else........I hope that you are all okay - I canot even begin to catch up on all the posts so I am just going to see what has been posted in the lastfew days. XX

Welcome back Moneystinks.

Although I don't have young children any more I can remember the upheaval they cause and the extra expense (but wouldn't have been without them)
I have just come back from a weeks camp with 18 children/young people and I an sure your son is having a great time ans although your home is too quiet I bet the camp isn't. Enjoy your time to yourself and look forward to the muddy washing he will bring home.

Nice to see you back Moneystinks.

Must admit when my daughter is stopping at her boyfriends, I do love the peace and quiet!

I love being in control of my finances now. I know where every penny is going, and although money is tight, I know I shall not be struggling at the end of the month.

hi there & welcome back from me too.i cant wait for schools to re-open as like you,i need a routine, its what keeps me sane! & i totally understand what you mean about the iva. Because the worry about my debts used to completely rule my life i keep feelin like there's something i should be doing.its surprising how time consuming worrying can be.& although im eternally grateful for having the iva,i do worry about the 'expensive months' But,id rather be worrying about a few quid as opposed to thousands!xx
